During your visit, you’ll meet our reindeer in a peaceful natural setting.
We’ll share stories about reindeer herding, life in Tornedalen, and the important role reindeer have played in the region for generations.
You’ll have the opportunity to feed the reindeer, take photos, and ask questions.
You’ll also meet Snöboll, our friendly tame reindeer who loves meeting new people.
The experience is suitable for both children and adults and offers a genuine insight into life close to nature. During the visit, we’ll enjoy warm berry juice and cookies together inside the reindeer enclosure, surrounded by the reindeer.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to relax, listen to local stories, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Every visit is kept small and personal to ensure a calm and memorable experience for both our guests and our reindeer.

The reindeer visit can be booked in two ways:
Take home a unique souvenir from Tornedalen! At Mukka Matarengi, you can create your own keychain from genuine reindeer antler.
Crafting items from reindeer antler is a traditional Tornedalian handicraft, where natural materials are transformed into something beautiful and lasting.
You’ll choose the shape and design yourself, while we guide you through the process.
Every keychain is unique and becomes a personal keepsake from your visit to Tornedalen.
The workshop is held at Mukka Matarengi during our regular opening hours.
Drop-in is available Tuesday–Friday 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM, subject to availability.
The workshop is booked and paid for on site.
